1General
What are Program Credits?
Program Credits are earned through Fall Product Program and the Girl Scout Cookie Program. They are a form of incentive once a girl reaches a certain level of sales.
2
Can I use Program Credits to pay the deposit for camp or anything else requiring deposits?
No. Unfortunately, deposits must be paid by credit card. In addition, an account must be established so that the Program Credits can be added. Please note – if the card does not cover the entire event/program/training, then payment will first need to be collected at the time of registration and/or before using the Program Credits. At that time, you may contact Customer Care at 602-452-7030 so that they can receive your payment. Spots will not be secure until full payment is made.
3
Who can use the Program Credits? Will they only benefit the Girl Scout who earned them?
The Girl Scout who has received the Program Credits can choose to have a certain amount transferred to a sibling for a particular event, trip, or program. They can also be used for a guardian chaperoning the Girl Scout for an event, a trip, or a program. Siblings must also be registered members.
4High Awards
Can I use them to redeem my expenses for High Award?
Yes. Expenses can be redeemed for High Awards. The refund must be for supplies used in your project and must align with the guidelines for high awards.
5SU/Troop
Can Program Credits be used for encampments?
Yes! Program Credits can be redeemed for encampments. However, we ask that the parent/guardian contact the Service Unit to inform them of the timeframe for processing (minimum of 14 business days). If the Program Credits do not cover the entire amount of the event/program/training, then payment needs to be collected at the time of registration and before using the Program Credits. Proper documentation will need to be provided, such as Participant List (from the Encampment Coordinator) or Troop Trip Application and flier. You may then contact Customer Care at 602-452-7030, so they can take your payment. Spots will not be secure until full payment is made.
6
Why am I allowed to use my Program Credits for some Program Partners and not others? Aren't they all council-approved events?
Program Credits can only be used for programs where GSACPC manages registration. We are unable to process registration for Program Partners because we do not have access to their systems to credit accounts. The only exception is United Getaways, who work in conjunction with GSACPC.
7
If I receive a gift card/certificate for volunteer appreciation can I give it to my girls to redeem?
No. Volunteer appreciations are strictly for volunteers and may not be transferred to girls.
8
Can I give Program Credits to another girl?
Yes, you can transfer Program Credits to another Girl Scout on a case-by-case basis, even if that Girl Scout is not a sibling (must be registered a Girl Scout). Attach a handwritten note permitting the transfer Program Credits. Please include each Girl Scouts name in the note.
