The Village has divided the project into two parts. The first part involves optimizing the roadways' pitch to ensure proper water flow into street drains. This proposal pertains to the initial phase of the project, which is funded through the FDOT grant for Roadway Improvements (FM 450906-54-1, DOT Grant). While this phase will partially improve the drainage system in the area, a comprehensive analysis of the underground drainage system, funded under Dep Drainage Grant #LPA 0335, will connect with the proposed drainage in this proposal. Coordination between the two projects will be necessary.

105th Street Stormwater Pump Station

The project area consists of 99 homes that are bounded by NE 107th Street to the North, Biscayne Canal C-8 to the south, US 1 to the east. Project consists of roadway swale areas, retention areas, and limited Stormwater infrastructure to collect Stormwater runoff from the right of way along the edge of the roadways.

NE 8th Avenue Stormwater Drainage Project

Stormwater management system upgrades will include upsizing existing antiquated catch basins, additional catch basins as required, upgrading of piping to current hydraulic standards, French Drains, baffles on catch basins, outfall upgrades if required.

NE 100th Street Spot Drainage Project

Spot drainage repair project in the vicinity of 1097 NE 98th Street. The project will include the addition of an exfiltration trench system to help dissipate stormwater runoff. The new system will be offset onto the street from the existing catch basins at the low point of the roadway and will connect to the existing catch basins. The catch basins may be upgraded as a result of the analysis if they are deemed unusable. Milling and resurfacing of the affected section of the roadway will be required.

Public Works Fuel Tanks Replacement Design

Miami Shores Village operates a fleet fueling facility at the Public Works Complex located at 1701 NW 103rd Street, Miami FL 33417. The existing underground fuel storage tanks, one (1) 4,000-gallon double wall gasoline tank and one (1) 4,000-gallon double wall diesel tank have approached the end of their service life.

Golf Course Assessment Report

Miami Shores Village has engaged the National Golf Foundation from Jupiter, FL, to evaluate necessary improvements for the golf course and overall facility to ensure the long-term sustainability of MSCC. NGF plans to conduct a comprehensive physical assessment of the MSCC facility, including the clubhouse. NGF will assist with various due diligence aspects and serve as an overall advisor to the Village as it makes key decisions regarding MSCC's capital investment and future management. NGF will provide a conceptual Golf Course redesign as part of the report.
